Finally, let's speak about how to choose the ideal skydiving container for you. I'll give you four pointers on whether to buy your own container, whether to buy new or used and more. sharing your enthusiasm for skydiving and assisting you in becoming a better and safer skydiver

1.  When is the best time to start looking at getting your own skydiving container.

2. Buying new or used

3. What types of skydive are you looking to focus on

4. Make sure to try them on trying the local brand that everyone jumps but also try other brands

As a new skydiver, you'll eventually want to purchase your own equipment, and one of the most important pieces of that is, of course, your skydiving container. With so many brands and manufacturers offering great skydiving containers, how do you know which one is right for you? Well, my goal is to clarify everything for you.

1.  When is the best time to start looking at getting your own skydiving container.

The first thing to think about is when is the best time to start looking into getting your own skydiving container. I would recommend waiting until you are no longer a student to start looking into getting your own skydiving container. Until you get your license, do not think about buying major equipment like your skydiving container because you are still learning and have the option to rent student gear.

Because you'll most likely shrink your canopy sizes as you get more experience and talents, and because the skydiving container must suit the canopy sizes, we'll make sure that your canopy size progression stabilizes before contemplating purchasing your own skydiving container.

2. Buying new or used

The second question you may be asking yourself is whether you should buy new or used skydiving gear. As we all know, skydiving gear is expensive, and most of the time we should spend our money on actually jumping, practicing, and gaining experience in the sky rather than having the latest and greatest in terms of skydiving gear, so asking whether you should buy new or used is a great question to ask, especially if you are new to skydiving.

So going the new route is a sure way to ensure that your gear fits you and stays in place while you're flying. On the downside, it's an expensive option to pursue. The benefits of looking for a used skydiving container are that you'll save money upfront, but you'll still have to inspect it to ensure that it's in good condition, not too old and that it fits you.

3. What types of skydive are you looking to focus on

The third thing to think about is the type of skydive you want to do. Not all skydiving containers are made for all skydiving disciplines, and here I'm mostly talking about free-flying, which is a discipline where you end up flying in various orientations before landing belly up in the ground, putting your container in relative winds that can blow in any direction.

4. Make sure to try them on trying the local brand that everyone jumps but also try other brands

Fourth, even if there is a big brand in your area that everyone is wearing, make sure to try them on. Try the local brand that everyone is wearing, but also try other brands out there because they do not all fit the same in terms of design and sizes in your back. Let me give you an example. You'll notice that some brands are long and thin in terms of skydiving backpacks and skydiving containers, which may or may not fit you; others are thicker but then shorter, and I've seen this situation where a skydiver liked everything about a certain brand until he tried it on.

He couldn't grab the handle because it was a little thicker and shorter, so that's a big point to consider. It wasn't a matter of fit for him, it was a matter of the design of the container, and so he decided not to go with this specific brand because it wasn't a good fit for his body type, so make sure you try them on and make sure you're comfortable that it fits your body type. Another point I'd make is that, based on my personal experience, you shouldn't always focus on the brands that everyone at your workplace is raving about. I know how powerful word of mouth can be.

Okay, so those were the four elements I wanted to discuss with you and share with you so that you could better understand what you should be looking for and what kind of decision you need to make when choosing the right skydiving container for you.

So, thanks a lot skydivers for reading this blog; by the way, I'd like to know in the comments what skydiving container brand you are actually jumping or like the most; please let me know down below for me; of course, you already know it's the curve from rigging innovations; and on that note, as always, keep jumping and stay safe.
